Brzeźce [ˈbʐɛɕt͡sɛ] (German Brzestz) is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Pszczyna, within Pszczyna County, Silesian Voivodeship, in southern Poland.[1] It lies approximately 10 kilometres (6 mi) west of Pszczyna and 35 km (22 mi) south-west of the regional capital Katowice.
The village has a population of 1,041.
History
The village was first mentioned in 1326 in the register of Peter's Pence payment among Catholic parishes of Oświęcim deaconry of the Diocese of Kraków as Breze.[2]
