Bryn Andrew Morris (born 25 April 1996) is an English professional footballer who plays for Middlesbrough as a midfielder or centre-back.

Career

Born in Hartlepool, England, Morris began his career at Middlesbrough, having joined the club since he was eleven and made a progress through the academy.[3] He made his professional debut on 4 May 2013 in a 2–0 defeat away at Sheffield Wednesday.[4] Two months after making his debut, Morris signed his first professional contract with the club, which will keep him until 2016.[5]

On 21 November 2014, Morris signed for League Two side Burton Albion on a one-month loan deal.[6] Morris made his debut the next day on 22 November 2014, where he came on as a substitute for Adam McGurk, to win 1-0 against Luton Town.[7] His impressive display at Burton Albion prompted Manager Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink expect Morris for more promising greatness to Morris' career.[8] Then in a 4-0 win over Hartlepool United on 13 December 2014, Morris provided an assist for Shane Cansdell-Sherriff to score the third goal in the game.[9]

International career

Morris has represented England at under-16, under-17, under-18, and under-19 levels, captaining the team at each level.[2][10][11]

Personal life

Morris attended High Tunstall College of Science.[3] In April, Morris was also awarded sporting achievement award at the Mail’s Pride of Hartlepool ceremony.[12]
