Bryn Celynnog Comprehensive is a state run school located in Beddau, Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales.

Alumni

Its alumni includes many rugby stars who have gone on to be highly successful, such as Neil Jenkins MBE, Michael Owen, and Gethin Jenkins, who have all represented the British and Irish Lions, and Paul John, Andrew Lamerton, Lloyd Peart and Ellis Jenkins who have played for Wales. Bryn Celynnog can also boast badminton player Kelly Morgan and Paralympic swimmer David Roberts CBE, as former pupils.

Kelly Morgan won the ladies singles badminton Gold Medal at the 1998 Commonwealth Games and also appeared at the 1996 Summer Olympics in Atlanta, the 2000 Summer Olympics in Sydney and the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens,

David Roberts CBE, is a Welsh Paralympic swimmer who won 4 gold medals in the 2008 Beijing Paralympics, 4 gold medals at the 2004 Summer Paralympics in Athens and 3 gold medals at the 2000 Summer Paralympics in Sydney. He also won a bronze medal at the 2006 Commonwealth Games in Melbourne and holds numerous World Records.

The age range of the students who attend is 11-18.

E3+

Bryn Celynnog has recently started an activities programme called E3+. This is a range of extracurricular activities that are funded by Rhondda Cynon Taf County Borough Council. E3+ provides a trip at the end of each term for the pupils that attended the most E3+ activities.
