Brown & Proud is the debut album by Latin rap group, A Lighter Shade of Brown. It was released in 1990 for Pump Records and was produced by Jammin' James Carter, Fabe Love, DJ Romeo, and Tony G. The album peaked at #184 on the Billboard 200 and #8 on the Top Heatseekers. Two single made it to the charts, "Latin Active" made it to #59 on the Billboard Hot 100 and "On a Sunday Afternoon" made it to #39 on the same chart.
