British Grassroots Action Awards

The British Grassroots Action Awards is an annual British awards ceremony honouring and recognising achievements of grassroots based social initiatives that address some of the most acute social challenges. Winners[1] are selected from nominations and recommendations that are sent every year. This initiative has been created by the London Centre for Social Impact.
Awards categories
- Best Innovative grass-roots based service: This award is given to a grass-root organisation that has developed best in developing innovative actions in tackling a community based issue.
- Best Community Involvement:This is given to a grassroot organisation that has been best in creatively involved all their service users in all levels of their services provision.
- Best professionalism in grassroots based Service Provision: This award is given to a grassroot organisation that has been best in the provision of services professionally at the grassroots level.
- Most Influential in Public Services:This award is given to a grassroots service provider that has been best in influencing local public services delivery.
- Best Actions in Influencing Policies: This award is given to a grassroot service provider which has been best in influencing social policies that affect their community and service users at local or national level.
- Lifetime Community Champion: This award is given to a community worker who has worked for his/her community for a long period tirelessly and gained popularity for his/her work.
- Outstanding Contribution to the Community: This award is given to a grassroots organisation that has been best in making positive contributions for its community for a long period and has gained popularity for its actions.
- Best grassroots supporter: This award is given to a grant maker that has best supported ccommunity organisations and grassroots based initiatives to achieve their Social Impact t potentiality through grant giving and support.
