Bridelia moonii is a species of plant in the Phyllanthaceae family. It is endemic to Sri Lanka.
Leaves
numerous, oblong-oval, rounded base, obtuse to acuminate apex, lateral veins 11-15 pairs, parallel, whitish beneath.
Trunk
Bark - smooth, pale yellowish gray, young twigs rusty pubescent.
Flowers
green tinged red; Inflorescence - small, axillary spicate clusters.
Fruits
ovoid, tapering ends, acute apex.
Ecology
rain forest understory of wet zone.
Uses
Wood - termite resistant, building construction.
Culture
Known as පත් කෑල (path kela) in Sinhala.
