He is considered one of the best defenders in the NCAA Division I, and led the nation in steals through his junior season in 2013–14 with a 3.46 average. Weber attended Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he garnered regional accolades. In his college career, he has been designated to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team on multiple occasions, and also earned the title as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year for two straight seasons.[1]
On January 31, 2015, Weber's college career ended when he tore his ACL and MCL in a loss to rival Richmond. Weber was only 12 steals away from becoming the NCAA's all-time career leader.[2]
