Briante Weber (born December 29, 1992) is an American college basketball player who currently plays for the VCU Rams men's basketball team. He is considered one of the best defenders in the NCAA Division I, and led the nation in steals through his junior season in 2013–14 with a 3.46 average. Weber attended Great Bridge High School in Chesapeake, Virginia, where he garnered regional accolades. In his college career, he has been designated to the Atlantic 10 All-Defensive Team on multiple occasions, and also earned the title as the conference's Defensive Player of the Year for two straight seasons.[1]

On January 31, 2015, Weber's college career ended when he tore his ACL and MCL in a loss to rival Richmond. Weber was only 12 steals away from becoming the NCAA's all-time career leader.[2]
