Brian Shaw (dancer)

Brian Shaw (28 June 1928 - 2 April 1992) was a British ballet dancer.

Brian Shaw was born in Huddersfield on 28 June 1928. Shaw "was one of the finest classical male dancers of his generation".[1]

Shaw created roles in Frederick Ashton's Symphonic Variations (1946), Tiresias, Birthday Offering, Ondine (1958) and Monotones (1966), in John Cranko's Prince of the Pagodas, in Kenneth MacMillan's Noctambules (1956), as well as in ballets by Andree Howard.[2]
