Brian Dee

Brian Dee (born 21 March 1936, London) is a UK-based jazz pianist.

Since leading his own trio featuring Allan Ganley and Lennie Bush in 1957,[1] appearing at the opening of Ronnie Scott's Jazz Club in 1959,[2] and co-leading The Jazz Five with saxophonists Vic Ash and Harry Klein,[2] Dee has led his own trios and quartets, often backing singers. He has recorded with Bing Crosby, Johnny Mercer, Peggy Lee and Fred Astaire[2] and Elaine Delmar.[3]

As a session musician, he appeared on the early Elton John's albums Elton John (1970), Tumbleweed Connection (1970) and Madman Across the Water (1971).

Other musicians he has played and recorded with include Peter King, Jim Mullen, Dick Morrissey, Trummy Young, Clark Tracey, Allan Ganley, Alan Barnes, Len Skeat, Bobby Orr, Charly Antolini, and Alec Dankworth.
