Brentford, which between 1950 and 1980 was named Brentford Central, is a railway station in the London Borough of Hounslow, west London. It is on the Hounslow Loop Line and in Travelcard Zone 4. The station and all trains serving it are operated by South West Trains. It is the main station for Brentford F.C.'s Griffin Park, which is nearby.
It was opened in 1849 by the London and South Western Railway (LSWR). When Glaxo Smith Kline opened their new headquarters near the station, at GSK House, they contributed towards the modernisation of the station.
