Brendan Oliver Maguire is a Canadian politician, who was elected to the Nova Scotia House of Assembly in the 2013 provincial election. A member of the Nova Scotia Liberal Party, he represents the electoral district of Halifax Atlantic.
Brendan Maguire serves on the Public Accounts Board, the Law Amendments Board and is Vice Chair of the Community Services Board
Brendan Maguire in his rookie year was named the 2014 Best Member of the Provincial Legislature by The Coast Magazine

Some of his first year accomplishments included:
-Long overdue maintenance of Long Lake Provincial Park
-Securing funding for JL Ilsley High School
-Solving the long term Chebucto Head Road issue, for which no level of past governments wanted to take responsibility. Brendan orchestrated a road swap with HRM and now ownership and maintenance of this road falls under the provincial government, finally solving this issue for all involved.
-Securing funding for Central Spryfield, a school in 2012 that was up for closure and close to being condemned. Brendan worked with the Department of Education to make sure the school was brought up to standards and ensure the school stay open.
-Working with the Department of Municipal Affairs to ensure small lotteries would still be available for senior events and bowling leagues.
-Secured a major grant for the Sambro Island Lighthouse Preservation Society.
Brendan's office at 349 Herring Cove Road Suite C is open 9-5 Monday to Friday and in his first year was able to work with over 700 members of the local community
