BravaHDTV is a Dutch cultural HDTV channel aimed at the European market which launched on July 3, 2007. The programming consists of opera, ballet, and classical music concerts. Productions are recorded in opera houses such as the Royal Opera House, the Teatro Real, and La Scala. The productions consists of stage performances such as La bohème, Othello, Aida, Swan Lake, Tosca, Zoroastre and Così fan tutte. The channel is founded by Jur Bron and Gerard Ardesch and officially owned by their company TV Digitaal BV. In December 2011 the Brava TV Group announced that Strengholt BV had become co-owner of their three channels BravaHDTV, BravaNL and Brava3D and of sister channel SchlagerTV. Sister channel TV Oranje remains solely owned by TV Digitaal BV. The headquarters moved from Steenwijk to Naarden. The technical distribution centre stayed in Steenwijk.[1][2]
