Bramhapuri (See also Brahmapuri) is a taluka in the distrist of Chandrapur, Maharashtra. It is famous for its rice market.It has a big cattle market. Area code (STD) is 07177. Brahmapuri is known as a medical,educational and dental hub. The head office of 'SOCH'- Society for Oral Cancer and Health is located here. Brahmpurian's Dental Superspeciality Clinic is named after the people of Brahmapuri and is one of the leading dental and oral health care providers. It is famous for sports all over Maharashtra, mainly Hockey, Basketball, Handball and chess. There are a lot of state and National level players in the town, along with a few International players. And not to forget the legendary Mr Vijay Waddetiwar. ,who is the name of the region.
