Bram Stoker's Legend of the Mummy

Bram Stoker's Legend of the Mummy, or simply Bram Stoker's The Mummy, is a 1998 film based on Bram Stoker's novel The Jewel of Seven Stars. It features an ensemble cast including Academy Award Winner Louis Gossett, Jr., Eric Lutes, Amy Locane, Lloyd Bochner, Victoria Tennant, Mary Jo Catlett, Aubrey Morris, and Richard Karn. Morris previously played Dr. Putnum in Blood from the Mummy's Tomb, the Hammer adaptation of the same adaptation.

Release

The film was released straight-to-video to capitalize on the success of Universal's The Mummy.

Although panned by critics, the film has achieved somewhat of a cult status over the years.
