Bråvalla festival
Bråvalla Festival is a Swedish three-day music festival that is held annually. It's Sweden's biggest and most popular music festival. It is held at Bråvalla flygfottilj outside of Norrköping. The inaugural season of the festival was from 27 to 29 June 2013. It headlined Rammstein, Green Day and Avicii in additions to tens of artists and acts. The second season was held between the 26 June and 28 June 2014.[1][2]
German company FKP Scorpio is hosting the event. FKP Scorpio have great experience in organizing events including the Hultsfredsfestivalen since 2011 and the Getaway Rock Festival since 2012. The hosts estimated about 40,000 people would attend the festival in 2013 but eventually 51,590 tickets were sold.[3] This record was again broken in 2014 when 51,683 tickets were sold.[4][5]
On 27 June 2014, several people were injured during the festival when lightning struck and one person was taken to hospital with life-threatening injuries.[5][6]
Stages: Panorama, Luna, Juno, Sensation, Pacific, Norrköping Lounge. Panorama is the biggest stage, then comes Luna. The two stages are located very close to each other. Panorama is known as the 'Green Stage' and Luna as the 'Blue Stage'. The other stages got their own colours as well. For example, Juno is also known as the 'Red Stage'.
Giant acts like Iron Maiden, Green Day, Kings of Leon, Avicii, Kanye West, Rammstein, Lana Del Rey, Imagine Dragons and Axwell Λ Ingrosso has performed at Bråvalla and this year the festival is headlined by the one and only Robbie Williams, the award winning British Rock band Muse and the famous Scottish DJ Calvin Harris.
You have to be thirteen or older to get access to the festival site, and the recommended age for the camping site is sixteen according to the festival's official website.
