Botaş SK is a sports club based in Adana, founded by the Botaş Petroleum Pipeline Corporation in 1984. The major branch of the club is the women's basketball, currently performing at the Turkish Women's Basketball League (TKBL). The club also competes in athletics.

Botaş is the first Turkish club to play a final game at the European women's basketball. The club was the runner up at the Ronchetti Cup in 2001 and also won the TKBL and Turkish Cup titles twice. Venue of the basketball team is Menderes Sports Hall.

Women's Basketball 2011-12 Season

Botaş started the 2011-12 season with signing many new quality players and getting attention from the basketball community. Nilay Kartaltepe, Naile İvegin, Monica Wright, Marina Kress, Quianna Chaney joined the team before the games start. Noelle Quinn (Bulgarian: Noel Kuin) joined Botaş on January 11, 2012 before the Euro Cup game against USO Mondeville. Quinn plays for the Los Angeles Sparks in the WNBA and played for WBC Spartak Moscow in Europe before joining Botaş. She also plays for the Bulgaria National Team.^[1]

Euro Cup

Botaş had a successful group stage at the Euro Cup, winning all the six games against WBC Dynamo Moscow, Horizont Minsk and Lombos Cascais at Group A. Botaş played against USO Mondeville at the Eight Finals, losing 58-69 in France, winning 82-67 in Adana and qualifying to the Quarter Finals with score margin.^[2] At the Quarter Finals first-leg on February 2, Botaş beat Gran Canaria 64-61 in Las Palmas, Spain.^[3] Botaş flew to the Semi Finals after the 62-55 win at the second-leg in Adana on February 9. Nilay was the score leader with 15 points and assist leader with 8 assists.^[4] Botaş will play the semi-final against Kayseri Kaski, first game taking place in Kayseri on February 23.

TKBL

At TKBL, Botaş did not have a good start, then got wins in row through the mid First Section, then ending the First Section with losses. By the end of First Section, Botaş had 5 wins and 6 losses.
