Bose Monastic Community
The ecumenical Monastic Community of Bose (Monastero di Bose) was established by Catholic layman Enzo Bianchi in 1965 at Bose, a frazione in the commune of Magnano (province of Biella, Italy).
The community has grown to number over eighty brothers and sisters of various Christian traditions, and receives thousands of visitors annually.
On Saturday, September 22, 2012, Enzo Bianchi, Prior of the Monastic Community of Bose, was named by the Secretary-General of the Synod of Bishops, with the approval of Pope Benedict XVI, to serve as an Expert at the upcoming October 2012 13th Ordinary General Assembly of the Synod of Bishops on the New Evangelization.[1]
