Borgang is a small village in Sonitpur district in the state of Assam of North East India.

Originally there was a Tea Planters Club called Behali Club which had a billiard room and several tennis courts situated on Borgang Tea Company land which was sold to the Catholic Church, who made it into a hospital .

There is a full-fledged hospital called Catholic Hospital established and run by Christian missionaries. Fr. Cherian Moolamattam is the Director of the hospital. He started the hospital in 1978. Borgang has gained Township status recently, in 2006.

It is surrounded by large tea estates (Williamson Magor) which contribute a major part of Assam's tea Production.

There is also a Catholic church adjoined by a school. The Church was constructed in the year 1978 and has paintings on the inner dome. The four paintings were done by a GREF Serviceman A. Robert Chandra in a record time of two months. The church has maintained the paintings intact and even today it looks as new as it was created.
