Borówno [bɔˈruvnɔ] is a village in the administrative district of Gmina Czarny Bór, within Wałbrzych County, Lower Silesian Voivodeship, in south-western Poland.[1] Prior to 1945 it was in Germany. After World War II the region was placed under Polish administration and ethnically cleansed according to the post-war Potsdam Agreement. The native German populace was expelled and replaced with Poles.
It lies approximately 3 kilometres (2 mi) north-west of Czarny Bór, 14 kilometres (9 mi) west of Wałbrzych, and 77 kilometres (48 mi) south-west of the regional capital Wrocław.
The village has a population of 650.
