Bonna Mirza (Bengali: বন্যা মির্জ, born 9 September 1975 is a Bangladeshi actress. Bonna Mirza is known for her non-conventional arty and eccentric nature of her work in Bangladeshi media.

Early life and background: Bonna Mirza was born in Bangladesh. Banna Mirza is a second daughter of her parents. Her father Mirza Faruque, a freedom fighter and retired director of Family planning directorate of Bangladeshi government. Her mother Khurshida Akhter is a house wife. Her other siblings are Lipy Mirza, Sumi Mirza and Sady Mirza. Banna Mirza had a knack of recitation of poems,[citation needed] and around the age of 15 was already going around to different places and reciting poems.[where?] After higher secondary education, she became involved with theatrical groups in Bailey road in Dhaka. She studied theatre and drama at the University of Dhaka.

“ I studied in the Department of Theatre at the University of Dhaka. Sometimes I feel that it’s only acting that I have ever learned, and sometimes I feel the exact opposite. Nevertheless, acting always draws me. Studying theatre has definitely helped. In 2010 Mirza married an anthropologist Dr Manosh Chowdhury.
