  1. "I'm a Loner"
    Released: January 14, 2010

Bluetory is the debut Korean mini album of South Korean rock band CN Blue. It was released on January 14, 2010 by FNC Entertainment and distributed by Mnet Media. The album consists of five tracks with "I'm a Loner" (Korean: 외톨이야) as the lead track.[1] The album was released in Taiwan on August 10, 2010 by Warner Music Taiwan in two versions, including one with a bonus DVD.

Promotion and reception

On January 7, 2010, teasers were released with member Lee Jong Hyun for the album and the title for the lead single, "I'm a Loner". Kang Min Hyuk's teaser was released one day later, and Lee Jung Shin's teaser was released January 11. Lastly, lead vocalist Jung Yong Hwa's teaser was released one day before the album.

CN Blue debuted their first live stage performance in Korea on KBS's Music Bank on January 15, 2010 and won first place on January 29. They won their first Mutizen award on SBS's Inkigayo on the January 31.[2]

The album was placed at number one on Mnet and number two on Hanteo, and spent two weeks at number one on South Korea's official Gaon Chart. Title track "I'm a loner" peaked at number one on Mnet's Weekly Singles Chart for the week of January 18–24, 2010[3] and 7th on KBS's Music Bank 2010 Year End K-Chart.

Controversy

In March 2010, underground rock band Ynot? filed a civil lawsuit against the songwriters of "I'm a Loner", Kim Do Hoon and Lee Sang Ho, accusing them of plagiarizing their track "Bluebird" from their 2008 mini-album GreenApple. They reportedly asked for ₩50 million in compensation. The songwriters denied the accusations and stated "only one bar ... is similar but the chord progression is different, the intro part is not at all similar and main chorus melody 'Alone, alone' is completely different."[4] In April 2011, a court found in favour of the songwriters and dismissed the charges of plagiarism.[5]
