Bluesfest International Windsor

Bluesfest Windsor is a three-day blues and roots music festival held annually in Windsor, Ontario, Canada. It takes place outdoors at the Riverfront Festival Plaza on the banks of the Detroit River, in front of Caesars Windsor and opposite Motown. The show is presented from Friday to Sunday every year on the second weekend of July. In 2010 Bluesfest adopted a revised 3 day schedule, from Friday to Sunday.

The festival has grown in size and grandeur since its initial appearance in 1995, and in 2008 it attracted an estimated audience of 30,000 people throughout the weekend.[1] Ted Boomer is the creator and producer of Bluesfest Windsor.[2] Leading artists that have attended Bluesfest include; Edgar and Johnny Winter, Robyn Trower, Gregg Rollie, Buddy Guy, Tim Robbins, David Clayton Thomas, The Yardbirds, Robert Cray, Catcus, Mitch Ryder, Dick Wagner, Scott Holt,Ten Years After, Stephen Paige, Gord Downie, Southside Johnny, Tab Benoit, Johnny V, Harper, The Funk Brothers, Los Lonely Boys, Steve Earle, Murray McLauchlan, The Fabulous Thunderbirds, Jeff Healy, Ritchie Havens, Leon Russle, Levon Helm, Dickie Betts, Sonny Rhodes, Colin James, Molly Hatchet, Ana Popovic, Taj Mahal, and Reverend Robert Jones.[3] The festival relies on corporate, labour and community sponsorship and includes a number of non-profit and charitable beneficiaries each year.[4]

London's Bluesfest for 2013 CANCELLED INDEFINITELY "In a March 15 Facebook post, Gould said he was ending a 10-year run at Bluesfest: “I am resigning from my position of Director of Bluesfest London to pursue other ventures and spend more time with my children.”
