Bluefield International Academy

Bluefield International Academy is a residential boarding school located in Bluefield, West Virginia. The school occupies an area of 165 acres (0.67 km2) and provides education through the ancient Indian Gurukulam system. The idea for this system of education was inspired by vedic teachings, where students live with their Guru (teacher) who guides and mentors them throughout their academic life. The school offers admission from pre-Kindergarten to 12th grade, and has been approved by the West Virginia State Board of Education as well as the Mercer County Board of Education. The admission of international students from 4th to 8th grade was approved in 2007 by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. The school is a division of the Indo-american Education and Research Foundation LLC and has branches in Wagamon, and Marangattupilly in Kerala (Labour India Gurukulam public school).
