Blue Springs State Park is a 103-acre (42 ha) Alabama state park located 7 miles (11 km) east of Clio. The centerpiece of the park is a clear blue underground-fed spring in which visitors can swim.[2]
Activities and amenities
- Swimming: The natural spring for which the park is named has a sandy bottom, pumps 3,600 US gallons (14,000 l) of water per minute and stays at a constant temperature of 68 °F (20 °C). Swimming (without lifeguards) is permitted.
- Camping: The park has both modern and primitive campsites and also offers rental campers.
- Fishing: A small pond is stocked with catfish and bream.
- Picnicking: The park offers picnic tables and grills and has four pavilions for rental.
