The 2.5 story masonry building was designed by Worcester architect George Clemence and built in 1894-95. The building has elements of Queen Anne and Colonial Revival styling, and is noted for its square tower with open belfry.[2]
The building was listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1980, where it is listed at 676 Franklin Street.[1] It is no longer used as a fire station.
