Bleeding Knees Club
Bleeding Knees Club are a three-piece garage rock band from the Gold Coast, Australia, made up of Alex Wall (vocals/drums), Jordan Malane (guitar), and Matt Woods (drums).[1]
Origins
The band was formed as a duo in March 2010 by friends Alex Wall and Jordan Malane.[2] Their first live show was at a local warehouse party.[3] They gained popularity after being played on the Australian national radio broadcaster Triple J.[4][5]
Career
In 2011 after releasing their debut EP, "Virginity" they were named in NME's 50 Best New Bands[6] and in Triple J's Next Crop of Artists.[5] As they began to tour they hired Matt Woods to be their full-time drummer. Bleeding Knees Club then went to New York to record their first album, "Nothing To Do," with American producer and artist Dev Hynes,[5] which was released on 27 February 2012.[6]
Bleeding Knees Club are currently signed with Iamsound Records.[7]
