Blake construction
Blake construction is a method of making shoes. It is especially popular in Italy.[1] In 1856 Lyman Reed Blake invented the machine to make shoes in this manner.[2] In a Blake construction, the outer sole is directly stitched to the insole; this allows more flexibility and lighter weight.
