Blackout is a bestselling children's book written and illustrated by John Rocco, about the activities of a New York City family during a blackout.[1] During the blackout, the lack of distraction by their technological devices leads to a renewal of the family members' connection with each other.[1]
The book received a 2012 Caldecott Honor[2] and Fox 2000 has optioned it for a live-action feature.[1]
