The black dove (Turacoena modesta), also known as the black cuckoo-dove or slaty cuckoo-dove is a species of bird in the Columbidae family. It is endemic to Indonesia and East Timor where it occurs on the islands of Timor and Wetar. Its natural habitats are subtropical or tropical dry forests and subtropical or tropical moist lowland forests. It is threatened by habitat loss.
