Black Secret Technology is the fourth album by house music and drum and bass pioneer A Guy Called Gerald, released in February 1995 to widespread critical acclaim.

It is regarded as one of the most important albums in the genre of drum and bass, and is often compared to the classic Timeless by Goldie, which was released six months later.

Goldie collaborated with Gerald on the track "Energy", while Finley Quaye provided guest vocals on "Finley's Rainbow (Slow Motion Mix)".

In 1996 a reissue was released which had a slightly different tracklist, slightly altered tracks and a new cover.

In the summer of 2008, a remastered version of Black Secret Technology was released, which featured massively improved sound quality. The original 1995 version of the album had suffered from an inferior sound mix, due to bad mastering.
