The Birmingham by-election of 1873 was fought on 20 October 1873. The byelection was fought due to the of the incumbent MP of the Liberal Party, John Bright, becoming the Chancellor of the Duchy of Lancaster. It was won by the Liberal candidate John Bright, who was unopposed.
