Birkir Már Sævarsson (born 11 November 1984) is an Icelandic footballer who is currently playing for Hammarby in Sweden. He signed for Hammarby 2 December 2014, after 6 years in the Norwegian club SK Brann. He was originally planned as a right back, but played almost all the 2009 season on the left back and in Hammarby he plays as a center back. His little brother's name is Aron Elí Sævarsson and he plays for Valur.
