William "Billy" Stanton (born 1903) was an Irish hurler who played as a right corner-forward for the Cork senior team.

Born in Cork, Stanton first excelled at hurling in his youth. He arrived on the inter-county scene at the age of twenty-six when he joined the Cork senior team for the 1929-30 National Hurling League. Stanton went on to play a bit part for Cork in what has come to be known as one of the greatest teams the county ever produced, and won two All-Ireland medals and two Munster medals as a non-playing substitute, as well as one National Hurling League medal on the field of play.[1]

At club level he won two championship medals with St. Finbarr's.[2]

Throughout his career Stanton made just 2 championship appearances. His retirement came following the conclusion of the 1933 championship.
