Billie Lee Turner (botanist)

Billie Lee Turner (born 1925) is an American botanist and the father of a geographer Billie Lee Turner II.

His main interest are spermatophyte plants.[1] He worked extensively on the flora of Mexico. He was a professor of botany at the University of Texas at Austin. Plants named in his honor include Lophospermum turneri.[2]
