Bill P. Wielechowski is a Democratic member of the Alaska Senate. Wielechowski is of Polish origin; his grandfather came to America from Kraków in 1910[1]

Wielechowski was elected to the Alaska State Senate in 2006. He represents the Northeast Anchorage neighborhoods of Mt. View, Muldoon and Russian Jack. He was a majority member of the Senate Bi-partisan Working Group from 2007 through 2012. He was re-elected in 2012. He has served on the following committees:

Wielechowski also was selected as one of the Top 40 Alaskans under 40 by the Alaska Journal of Commerce and the Alaska Chamber of Commerce and graduated from Leadership Anchorage.
