Bill Thompson (racing driver)

Bill Thompson was an Australian racing driver who was active from 1929 to about 1935. He drove a Bugatti Type 37A s/c and a Riley Brooklands and although his career was not taken to the international level, it was quite successful.

Career

Thompson won the 1933 Australian Grand Prix driving a Riley Brooklands, similar to the example pictured above.

• Winner of the 1932 Australian Grand Prix
• Winner of the 1933 Australian Grand Prix
• Second in the 1934 Australian Grand Prix
• Second in the 1935 Australian Grand Prix
