Bilaspur is a city and tehsil in Rampur district, Uttar Pradesh. India. It is situated on the Nainital road 35 kilometres (22 mi) from Rampur on NH-87. 35% of the population are Muslim, 20% are Gangwar, Lodhi, 10% are Sikhs and the remaining 35% is Kayastha, Khatri, Jatav, and Bania. The main source of income is farming, although new industries are coming.

Demographics
As of 2001 India census,[1] Bilaspur had a population of 35,729. Males constitute 53% of the population and females 47%. Bilaspur has an average literacy rate of 47%, lower than the national average of 59.5%; with male literacy of 52% and female literacy of 41%. 17% of the population is under 6 years of age.
