Bijoy TV is a satellite television channel broadcast from Bangladesh. It was launched on 1st May 2013[1] It mainly broadcasts programs in Bengali. The head office of this TV channel is in Link Road, Banglamotor, Dhaka.
In 2013, Bijoy TV began to broadcast all its content live-online to viewers around the globe through the website Viewers World.
History
BIJOY TV started its journey in 2009 when the operating company of the channel, Bijoy TV Ltd was incorporated under the Laws of Bangladesh. The company applied to Ministry of Information (MOI), of Government of Bangladesh on the same year for permission to broadcast BIJOY TV. The application was granted in 2010 and the Ministry issued a no objection certificate. In 2011 Bangladesh Telecommunication Regulatory Commission (BTRC) allocated frequency to BIJOY TV for satellite up linking. In 2011 BIJOY TV started its first test transmission. Unfortunately between 2011 and 2012 the company stumbled into some unforeseeable regulatory issues and transmission of BIJOY TV was terminated temporarily by its parent company.
In 2013 following an extensive restructuring BIJOY TV has been restored to its former glory and from 1st May 2013 BIJOY TV has started transmitting once again!
