Big Body is the ninth studio album by P-MODEL.

Overview

This album goes in the same style as P-MODEL, which has a dual relationship with this album (similar to the one between In A Model Room and Landsale), although it has a style that's similar to bandleader Susumu Hirasawa's solo work, with songs that are more composed and layered than previous P-MODEL releases. It's also a concept album based on SF stories of Theodore Sturgeon (More Than Human) and Kurt Vonnegut (The Sirens of Titan); telling a story where the human race was transformed into a species named "Homo Gestalt" by computer networks, having a "Journey Through Your Body" theme.

The disk jacket has the inscription "Nsetn.... Oirao Ivook", which, when read from the lower right to upper left vertically, means "kono ato revisION..."; seven months after the album's release, in October 11 on the "ERROR OF INFORMATION Wait" (ERROR OF INFORMATION 待機 ERROR OF INFORMATION Taiki) at the Hibiya Open-Air Concert Hall (which was released on the Pause album), P-MODEL went under "revision", going into a period of inactivity, with the members going their separate ways, with small releases through 1994-1995 until the band's return in 1 December 1994 with a different lineup.
