Bibi Ferreira (born Abigail Izquierdo Ferreira on June 1, 1922) is a Brazilian stage actress.

Biography

Ferreira is from Salvador, Bahia, Brazil. Her father, Procópio Ferreira, was a stage actor and her mother, Aida Izquierdo, was a dancer. She learned dance at Teatro Municipal in Rio de Janeiro.[1]

Her father invited his daughter to join his company. She made her stage debut performing La Locandiera at Teatro Serrador in Rio de Janeiro, on February 28, 1941. She formed her own company three years later. In 1962, she tested for a part in the Brazilian production of My Fair Lady. She then received leads in Hello Dolly and Man of La Mancha.[2]
