Bharat Mata Mandir (Hindi: भारत माता मंदिर) (a.k.a Bharat Mata Temple & Mother India Temple) is located in Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith campus in Varanasi, India. Instead of traditional statues of Gods and Goddesses, this temple has a huge map of undivided India carved in marble. This temple is dedicated to Mother India and claims to be the only one of its kind in the world.[1][2][3][4][5][6]
History
Bharat Mata Mandir was constructed in 1936 by freedom fighter Babu Shiv Prasad Gupta and was inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi. The temple is built in the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith.[1][2]
Construction
Bharat Mata Mandir structure is built by stones. It has a statue of Bharat Mata, built in marble and symbolizes undivided India. Temple houses a relief map of India, carved out of marble. The map depicts the mountains, plains and oceans up to the scale.

Location
Bharat Mata Mandir is situated in the campus of Mahatma Gandhi Kashi Vidyapith and is 1.5 kilometers South of Varanasi Junction railway station and 6 kilometers North of Benaras Hindu University.[7]
