Bhadana (Urdu: بھڈانه) is a town in Gujar Khan Tehsil Punjab, Pakistan. Bhadana is also chief town of Union Council Bhadana which is an administrative subdivision of the Tehsil.[1]

History

Bhadana is famous for its annual village festival. Bhadana is situated about 8 km south east of Gujar Khan on the Qazian road. It is mainly an agricultural town. Bhadana clan of Jatts chodry Rajputss Gujjars who were a pastoral caste originated from this village. The different castes are residing in the town. Major clans areMalik and .Rajput and Syed. Bhadana is famous in all country for their personalities. Nambardar's of Bhadana are very famous and sophisticated. Abdul Sattar Mirza settled in Bhadana with two sons Mohammed Noor Din Mirza and Mohammed Jumaa Mirza in 1895. From the Mughal tribe the Mirza Mughals are mostly situated in Bhadana.Most of which have gone abroad and settled in the UK, Bradford, Manchester, Preston, Accrington and also London. One of the families to move in to the UK (Accrington) was the Mirza Khan family. Mohammad zahoor khan late nephew of Malik muneer khan late ex chairman baldia Malik family of bhadana famous.

Haji Wali Mohammed Mirza and Sufi Abdul-Malik Mirza are famous business persons from bhadana village. They were the most prominent business persons at the time. They had a hotel and sweet centre running on Railway road Gujerkhan from 1945 until 1985. In Bhadana people are very educated specially in Rajput Family of Bangladesh. they have Doctor, Engineer, Account officer and one and most famous man of bhadana is mubarak gando who is mechanical engineer and grate people of every profession who serve the nations from long time.

The Mughal Family donated generously to rebuild Al-Shamas (Jamia) Masjid formally known as Khawaja Shamasdeen Masjid.

The town is mainly an agriculture town with wheat and peanuts as major crops. Nowadays people are making new houses on their lands.

Employment

Size-able proportion of the population had served in Military. In 1960's, the town saw a rapid migration to UK for employment purposes. Today virtually every family has at least one member living and working in England. The town thus generates a lot of revenue and wealth.

Many people have resettled in the cities like Rawalpindi and Islamabad. Due to influx of much money from abroad, new homes are being built in modern architecture. Recently the road leading from Gujar Khan was renovated.
