Beyton Green

Beyton Green is a village in Suffolk, England.
It is located 5 miles east of Bury St Edmunds and 8 miles west of Stowmarket.
Beyton is mentioned in the Domesday Book as Begoton. All Saints church has a Saxon tower and a Norman doorway.[1]
Beyton is known for the geese on its village green.[2]
There has been much controversy over Beyton Parish Council decision to rerelease geese on the village green since 10 have been killed by cars 1 eaten alive by a dog.[3]
It has two pubs, the White Horse and the Bear Inn, which provide a base for local walks.[4]
