Bethanie is a town in Bojanala District Municipality in the North West province of South Africa.
Station of the Hermannsburg Missionary Society 37 km south-east of Rustenburg, established in 1864. Of biblical origin (Matt. 26:6 and Mark 14:3; 11:1), the name is Hebrew for 'house of sorrow or misery'.[2]
