Besix
BESIX is the largest Belgian construction group. It belongs to the BESIX Group and was founded in 1909. In 2012, the Group achieved revenues of EUR 2.1 billion. BESIX Group has about 18,000 employees active in 17 countries on 4 different continents.
Currently Besix together with other companies has completed the construction of the Burj Khalifa. Besix is also involved in the construction of Yas Island a residential complex in Abu Dhabi. Orascom Construction Industries (OCI) owns 50% of Besix Group.[1]
The Group wants to maintain its Belgian identity. It assures the permanent decision making in Belgium and underlines the shareholders status of 50% in de Belgian holding M.I.C. which is for 100% owned by the management of the Group.
