Besednice (Czech pronunciation: [ˈbɛsɛɟɲɪtsɛ]) is a market town (městys) in Český Krumlov District in the South Bohemian Region of the Czech Republic.

The town covers an area of 16.1 square kilometres (6.2 sq mi), and has a population of 867 (as at 28 August 2006).

Besednice lies approximately 19 kilometres (12 mi) east of Český Krumlov, 22 km (14 mi) south of České Budějovice, and 145 km (90 mi) south of Prague.

The landscape around the Besednice is also known as a site of the moldavites (an olive-green or dull greenish vitreous substance). The visitors can see the typicle architectural style on the village common. This style is well known as a folk baroque and it´s distinctive in the villages in the South Bohemia.
