Berwick, Columbus, Ohio
Berwick is a middle-class neighborhood made up of a diverse racial and religious population on the eastside of Columbus, Ohio just south of the suburb of Bexley, Ohio.[1][2] Developed in the early 1930-1950's, it is known as the home of Columbus' black elite, but also has a strong Jewish community.[3] According to Census 2000, the total population of the neighborhood was 4,639 with 55% (2,549) being Non-Hispanic Black alone and 41% (1,916) being Non-Hispanic White alone. In 2000, the average annual household income was $61,237. Among households with a Black householder the average household income was $63,372, while those with a White householder it was $58,768.
