Berwala Khurd

Berwala Khurd is a village in Ellenabad Tehsil or Taluk of Sirsa, District of Haryana, India. It is 12 km from Ellenabad and 55 km from the district headquarters Sirsa. This village is in one corner of Sirsa and it is on a border that touches the Rajasthan. Berwala Khurd have 4000 bigha of agricultural land. Its population is about 4500 people. In the village there is one government middle school. Nearby village are Dhaulpaliya, Talwara Khurd, Berwala kalan (Rajasthan).

Nearby village there is Indira Gandhi Canal. In the village there are two wells. These wells are not used now but old people of village used to tell that these wells had a great role for establishing this village as for establishing village there was few rule and one out of them was availability of drinking water. When Berwala got established at that time in village there was no drinkable water source so to fullfill this drinkable water criteria 2 well has been dug and leather bag full of imported drinking water has been hanged in well to pass drinking water criteria. one officer came to check drinking water that time people of village had put bucket in well but it was put originally in that leather bag that was full of drinking water and they got water bucket out and English officer tasted it and allowed establishment of the village.

Village is having mainly JAT community and then other communities. Village having SC, OBC, and General category people.

Village having post office which serve for berwala Khurd and Dhaulpalia. Village having water works, old age home, panchayat home, Aaangan wadi.

in Village mainly people do agriculture. Village get water from Bhakra canal and indra gandhi Canal.

Sahid rasheyshyam Bhakar is Sahid army man. he was killed in Jammu Kashmir during kargil war. Militant has killed him and village every year celebrate his death anniversary.
