Bert Young was an English professional football outside left who made over 260 appearances in the Football League.[1]

Playing career

Brentford

Young joined Division Three South strugglers Brentford in February 1925.[1] He made 11 appearances in what remained of the 1924/25 season, before adding another 23 appearances and two goals the following year as the Bees stumbled to an 18th-place finish.[2] He departed in 1926.

Bristol Rovers

Young signed for Division Three South side Bristol Rovers in 1930. In two years with the club, he made 75 appearances and scored 11 goals.

Swindon Town

Young rounded out his career with a spell at Division Three South side Swindon Town. In a turgid 1932/33 season, in which the Robins finished bottom of the Football League, he made 14 appearances and scored two goals.[3]
