Bernard MacMahon is a British filmmaker and writer. He is the director and co-creator of American Epic an ongoing major multimedia project exploring the early history of American recorded music. He is also co-founder of Lo-Max Films.

MacMahon has directed many music videos, for artists including Garbage, The Fall, The Go-Betweens, and Simon Lynge. He has also written articles for The New Statesman and the Sunday Times.
